It's amusing to see Zoe blushing because Lucy wanted to pet his snakes, he didn't blush before but I guess after Lucy called them beautiful - I forget the exact word she said - it seems to have changed his opinion of her. It seems like it is an act only for couples but he should try to get into his head that she's not doing that because she's interested in him lol.

I liked the conversation between Chise and that guide, he was really giving her a good lecture and I'm surprised he is the one that ended saying all those things instead of someone who is actually a friend of hers. It was just an interesting scene to watch because there was a lot of sincerity from his side but he still wants to think for herself because it's not like his a friend or a parent like he said.

Well, Lucy was the one who instigated the whole thing when you think about it. Her stepping in and "bullying" Zoe by grabbing his headphones is typical "I'm a Little Shit but I like you/intrigued by you" behavior.

The snake scene was a bit funny. Maybe there will be some important connection between them in the future, Chekhov's gun and stuff.

Quick googel'ing of snakes shows they are a symbol for rebirth and healing. Seems appropriate.

I love whenever people tell Chise that's she's being a big idiot for being so reckless, and she got to taste a bit of that when she tried to prevent Lucy from going to her mission, it makes you wonder if she'll ever learn... then again and as I said before, it's hard or impossible to teach new tricks to an old dog, and in this case Chise was molded by everything that happened in her past... so we can't truly blame her for being effed up in the head.

There's one thing however that I realize now that we're getting the final episode next week... the pace of this season up to this point seems to indicate either a potential second season or a second cour in the future, there's no way we'll conclude the College arc in a single episode... and there's A LOT of material left in the manga considering it's still ongoing and it just recently finished the College arc... we'll have to wait and see, but I hope we don't have to wait another 5+ years for a continuation.

i'm betting on a 2nd cours and it will be announced with an end-card after the credits roll on ep 12, plus press releases SNS and suchforth.

I have read the manga, and if there's only 12 episodes, then there are way too much stuff left unanimated. I hope there will be a 2nd cour for this season, or we would have to wait a few more years for the 3rd season (The manga's College Arc has just concluded too, so they have to wait for the manga to expand more before animating more season.)

I mean if they do a 2nd cour after this the sad reality will be that once that's over we would be looking at several years of no this show getting a "new season" cause as you said they had just finished the college arc in the manga. We would get more of this show in the immediate future but they payment will be an even longer wait for more^^

Ikr, seeing that the manga didn't get that far after the first season, and it took like 5 years for the College Arc to conclude, we have to wait another half decade or so for another season *cries* ;-;
